BIOGRAPHY
Monk Anthimos Gusha
The Venerable Monk Anthimos Gusha was born in the city of Shkodra, Albania, on December 17, 1989. He spent his childhood on the beautiful island of the Ionian Sea, Corfu, where he also completed his basic education.
For fifteen years, he lived on Mount Athos, the blessed Garden of our Holy Mother, where he received the monastic tonsure and acquired valuable spiritual experience from the Athonite tradition. Today, he continues his monastic life at the Holy Byzantine Monastery of Saint Luke in Boeotia.
Monk Anthimos, in addition to his daily monastic duties — prayer, participation in the sacred services, studying spiritual and patristic books, and various obediences — strives, by the grace of God, to cultivate the gifts that have been given to him, according to the Gospel parable of the talents.
Thus, in his free time, he engages in floral decoration, reverently adorning the feast days of the Monastery, as well as photographing the natural environment, which he particularly loves, as it is a gift from God for the comfort and serenity of humanity. At the same time, he turns his camera lens to the Orthodox world, capturing holy monasteries, monks, nuns, and various ecclesiastical themes.
His works are presented under the title ''Anthimos Anthologies'' and are hosted on his website www.anthimoudianthismata.com, organized into three sections: ''Floral Arrangements,'' ''Nature,'' and ''Orthodox World.''They are available in the form of souvenir gift cards and small albums.
Each work of Monk Anthimos not only offers an artistic image but is also accompanied by a spiritual and poetic discourse, aimed at the spiritual benefit of people. His works are gradually published, by the grace of God, by the Holy Byzantine Monastery of Saint Luke in Boeotia.
